I am thinking there is a way to fool the O2 sensor so that the ECU thinks that the ratio is running too lean and adds more fuel allowing the ERG valve to be taken off. I got a 05 mazda 6 2.3 an my haynes book says the cylinder numbers are 1234 starting from passenger side and the firing order it says 1342. Whats getting me is all the different answers ive seen. There have been a few reported cases on this site of coolant leaks that resulted in a full replacement of the 2.5 turbo motor. See here and here.
