π Ford Mondeo Dpf Sensor Location
I've just found out that this month's (May issue) Car Mechanic magazine has a whole article on the Focus 1.6 TDCi, including DPF problems. One thing in particular they mention is the pressure sensor & the hoses leading to/from the DPF. Apparently these hoses are prone to damage or getting blocked by soot.
Received 224 Likes on 162 Posts. As already stated a by above, a 6.7L diesel does NOT have a DPFE sensor. It has DPFP and EBP sensors, neither of which would have anything to do with EGR flow. An EGR flow excessive trouble code set can be caused by numerous concerns, too numerous to simply mention in a forum. The cause needs to be diagnosed.
As said previous if you pull the air filter box off and then look at the end of the engine from the off side wing the sensor is located at about the 2 o`clock position on the top of the gearbox.It is under some pipework but you can just see it, You will see the single bolt that holds it in and this can be a bit difficult to remove but just

Took my car for a run with Forscan running and the DPFE reading is nearly always at 0kpa and rises occasionally to 1kpa, usually when it has risen to 1kpa the exhaust temperature is over 200ΒΊ and drops to 0kpa when the temp falls below 200ΒΊ. I have been reading on some forums about the problems a DPF may cause but am unsure if my car has one, it is a 2.0 TDCI on an 05 plate and is Euro 4.
Mondeo 2.0 TDCIs do NOT use Eolys fluid to help the DPF regenerate. There was an issue with the first Mondeo IVs about the oil service light coming on early (on mine it happened after 3,500 miles from new). The dealer referred to a Ford bulletin, which showed it was caused by an oversensitive sensor.

It located behind the engine on the drivers side, low down, just above the steering rack. See pic. To get to it, you need to take the under cover off (6 or 8 screws). then get right under the car and look up past the steering rack.
The Ford garage swapped the injector tip on the 2nd and the 3rd cylinder. After that the issue presented with the 2nd injector. So probably the injector is causing the malfunction. I was also told, that there might be electrical issue (like wiring to the ABS sensor) but in my case all the electronic is just fine)
